There's a reason you'll almost always see me nibbling on a pastry during the day. Spells use a lot of the body's energy, and since I'm usually flying whereever I go, I know just how much energy it burns.

Likewise, you're going to be weak as a kitten until you get some of your energy back. So... not so much cruel as... hmmm... encouragingly sadistic.
